Modern Toronto and an eight story iPod add face off against a table hockey icon that sits atop the "Wayne Gretzky's" restaurant in Toronto. This is a personal image shot while scouting a location assignment at the Second City comedy club in August of 2004.
Olympic Gold Medalist Wrestler Kurt Angle shot on location in his native Pittsburgh, PA. Kurt was shot with steel workers at the very last blast furnace in operation in the state of Pennsylvania. The October 2003 World Wrestling Entertainment assignment was to show Kurt Angle and as a down to earth, blue collar person. Security for the steel mill was kind enough to give us almost eight minutes of access to make this image. The picture was used double truck in Smackdown magazine for WWE.
WWE superstar Edge shot on location in Dublin, Ireland, in May of 2004. This impromptu portrait was part of a museum tour, prior to the evening show in Dublin. The assignment was ten days across Ireland and the UK for World Wrestling Entertainment.
Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Ron Hextall gets a piece of a slapshot but not enough for a save during a new years eve NHL game at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 1996. The "net cam" images were incorporated into another three week NHL tour of Canada for Pinnacle Trading Cards during the 1996-97 NHL season. I again was lucky enough to have total creative freedom for the assignment.
Following the morning practice at the Northlands Coliseum in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Oilers goaltender Curtis Joseph posed for this portrait. His hair was not cooperating so I covered it with his mask. This image was part of a three week NHL assignment for Pinnacle trading cards across Canada during the 1995-96 NHL season. I was free to create portraits, action, and net cam action.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward catches a pass against the Cincinnati Bengals in October of 2005 at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, PA.
On assignments for Donruss/Playoff trading cards. The assignment was to shoot full body peak action.
The masked WWE superstar, Rey Mysterio shot on location at Green Market Square in Capetown, South Africa, prior to a Feb 2004 show.
Mysterio's wrestling character always wears a mask so I wanted to have him wear an African national mask and here is what we found. This was the first day of a ten day international assignment with the World Wrestling Entertainment talent. The image was used double truck in "The Best of 2004" magazine for WWE.
