FB Displays & Designs Adds Life to the Center for Excellence’s Display |

FB Displays & Designs (FBD2) has breathed new life into the New York State Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics & Life Sciences (COE)’s tradeshow presence with their latest design effort. The display, an eight-foot Nomadic Instand backwall flanked by matching Pronto banner stands and a freestanding counter, has provided the COE with state-of-the-art graphics and a clear message for its audience.
“FB Displays & Designs met our unique and varied display needs with a solution that is not only attractive, but also practical,” says Marnie LaVigne, Ph.D., Director of Business Development for the COE. With expertise in such diverse areas as bioengineering, pharmacology and neurology, the COE sought a design that would remain as cutting edge as the Center itself.
“Our greatest challenge was matching a dynamic visual image to the Center’s complex mission,” explains Francine Brooks, President of FBD2. “The complexity of the booth’s design allows it to be reconfigured for a more compact display, and an additional set of graphic panels will give the COE the flexibility to update their look as needed without redoing the entire display. All this while still having a booth that is easily transported and requires minimal setup.”
With the Center set to open its newest facilities and launch its Corporate Partner Program later in 2005, FBD2’s design will be a cornerstone in the COE’s successful public relations and marketing strategy.
The New York State Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics & Life Sciences was created on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus in 2002 to create a hub of life sciences expertise in Upstate New York. Participating institutions include the University at Buffalo (UB), Roswell Park Cancer Institute, and the Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute.
