Job Description
Assists in the planning, coordination and logistical implementation of firm-wide marketing programs, supporting the business development managers in the execution of the practice groups, offices and attorneys’ business development and client relationship strategic plans. Performs the planning and logistical coordination of other programs and events as assigned, such as internal planning sessions, senior associate retreats, and other management-related programs. This role also maintains the firm’s customer relationship database (CRM) and works with the attorneys to train on the CRM functionality and to ensure data accuracy.
Requirements
• This position actively drives program development by contributing to the designing, planning, budgeting, promotion, and evaluation of firm marketing and business development programs
• Initiates new program ideas and improvements based on firm goals and creative thinking
• Coordinates with the firm’s marketing and business development team to develop appropriate promotional strategies and marketing materials as well as program and presentation materials
• Manages all logistics related to site selection, development and managing invite lists, RSVPs, attendance follow-up, internal and attendee communications, on-site logistics, vendor interaction and expense processing and budget tracking
• Manages internal calendar of programs and promotional posting on the firm’s website and social platforms
• Contributes to and supports the social media strategies and implementation for programs
• Ensures that all are well informed on firm programing, updates and issues are routinely communicated to the business development team and attorney teams connected to the specific programs as well as others as appropriate
• Develops, executes and reports on program evaluations and contributes suggestions for enhancing future programs and client engagement
• Maintains the firm’s customer relationship database, which includes the addition of new information, updating changes to existing information and deletion of obsolete data
• Processes mailings, including list management from firm’s CRM, for legal alerts, invitations and other firm/client communications
Qualifications
• Must understand and be knowledgeable of marketing principles and practices, professional services industry experience a plus
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree with one to three years experience in marketing, sales or public relations that includes executing events and programs
• Demonstrate competence in project management and track record of being well organized and detail oriented.
• Professional comportment and excellent teamwork and client service skills
• Strong written and oral communications skills to work with department team members, administrative support, firm vendors and the attorneys
• Database knowledge and analytical skills
• Ability to competently manage multiple and diverse projects and use independent judgement on when and how to respond to shifting priorities and the unexpected
• Takes initiative and exercises good judgment
• Ability to be flexible for working in a dynamic atmosphere
• Highly proficient with major software packages including Microsoft Office
• Military experience a plus
