“A ball of yarn may be an unorthodox pick for Best of Show, but it’s the unorthodox that gets noticed. This grassroots idea feels right for the subject matter–the rediscovery of the craft of knitting amongst the young and creative. We were so intrigued by the entry we went online to learn more–probably a judging first. As we gathered around the monitor, we all chuckled at the blogged adventures of the Wild Woolies–which were quickly making their way around the U.S., hanging out in bars, chillin’ in trees, and lounging at the airport.
