BOA EDITIONS, LTD. is a Pulitzer Prize-winning, not-for-profit publishing house that has received national acclaim for its work. Founded in 1976 by the late poet, editor and translator, A. Poulin, Jr., BOA has published more than 170 books of American poetry and poetry in translation.
BOA's mission is to foster readership and appreciation of poetry. We accomplish this by publishing both emerging and distinguished poets in five distinct venues:
• American Poets Continuum Series. New poetry by distinguished poets in mid and late career.
• The A. Poulin, Jr. New Poets of America Series honors a poet's first book with publication and honorarium. The annual award is selected by an established American poet.
• New American Translation Series. The Lannan Foundation of Santa Fe , New Mexico , supports the publication of two new collections of contemporary international poetry annually. Selection is weighted to established poets living outside of the U. S. who have yet to publish a collection in English.
• BOA Pamphlets Series. Smaller poetry collections by American poets.
• The American Reader Series is a venue for prose about poetry and poetics by working poets. |
