We are a beautiful Victorian mansion and gardens, located at the north end of Canandaigua Lake, in the heart of the Finger Lakes Region in Upstate New York.
Formerly the summer home of Canandaigua benefactors Frederick Ferris and Mary Clark Thompson, Sonnenberg (German for "sunny hill") is open to the public 7 days a week, mid-may through mid-October. Please refer to our new 2005 schedule of events and our hours of operation more information.
Explore the mansion, visit the Finger Lakes Wine Center, stroll the grounds and walk through the many beautiful gardens. Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion Historic State Park is a unique and wonderful place. Take your time and explore the many sights and sounds of Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion State Historic Park. We also have a tram service available for individuals who want to see the grounds but wish not to walk the entire estate. |

Please note: due to weddings and events on Saturday and Sunday, our coordinator is usually off on Mondays during the summer.
