Job Description
Part-time position (30 hours per week, 44 weeks per year) to manage the student-led Park School of Communications co-curricular organization that provides opportunities for students to gain experience with traditional and emerging media platforms and strategies for public relations, internal and external communication, digital publication and graphics, mobile/social media, and event management. Work with Park School administration and College Relations and Communications to design and produce digital and print content for various Park School initiatives and events, e-news, Parkís digital magazine, and building displays; coordinate promotion and management of Park initiatives and events including being responsible for maintaining Parkís main website pages and social media accounts.

Position/Job Responsibilities
1. Manage a Park School co-curricular student organization that will give students experiential learning opportunities in public relations, internal/external communications, digital and traditional publications and materials, social media, and event design and management and campaigns; recruit students and develop and enforce policies; manage the program budget.

2. Work with the Dean and other Park School faculty and staff to identify initiatives, programs, events, and guest speakers to promote. Oversee and participate in executing the design and production of appropriate Park School promotional and informational materials and digital/social media campaigns by paid and unpaid students, other Ithaca College staff, and outside contractors as appropriate.

3. Compile and publish Park e-news, update digital and print signage and displays, and manage regular updating and analysis of the Park Schoolís main web pages and social media accounts in collaboration with Park School administration and the office of College Relations and Communications.

4. Conduct outreach to current students, members of the Ithaca College community, alumni, and communications professionals to identify content for the Park online magazine and to build a base of subscribers. Create reports based on analytics of the platform and impact of the publication.

5. Develop and demonstrate a multicultural awareness and contribute to cultivating an inclusive, diverse and respectful College community. Demonstrate civil and inclusive behavior when interacting with staff, faculty, students and visitors to the College. Promote a flexible, collaborative and inclusive work and living environment and engage in educational opportunities to increase awareness and understanding of diversity and inclusion.

6. Seek ongoing opportunities for professional development and networking with other college media advisors and for students involved in the Park PR co-curricular organization to attend and submit work to national and regional conferences and competitions.
Requirements
Bachelorís degree in Communications or related field and a minimum of 3 yearsí experience in designing and managing promotional media and campaigns in print and digital formats; demonstrated competencies in using digital media software and templates to create posters and displays, familiarity with media analytics; ability to recruit, mentor, and effectively manage a student staff; strong organizational, strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively work and interact respectfully within a diverse and inclusive environment; experience researching and implementing new strategies for promotion and information dissemination; ability to manage multiple projects and timelines, and the demonstrated ability to work effectively with leadership to execute strategies to promote audience engagement and brand reputation are required. A documented history of working collaboratively with a student or student teams to execute deliverables is highly preferred.
