I was commissioned to hand paint an 18-foot by 50-foot interior wall mural at a new building constructed by Albany RV at 48 Rensselaer Avenue in Latham, NY. The two story 8,000 square foot building features a massive indoor showroom.

The mural image is an autumn Adirondack landscape. It complements the outdoor theme of the showroom. Interior designers added depth to the wall mural with manmade 3-dimensional rocks and trees that adorn the showroom.

An acrylic mural this size required many hours of preparation. Artist Annette Gurdo assisted in painting. It took the artists eight long work days to paint. Rashford and Gurdo have teamed to offer mural painting for business and home.

Pen and ink drawing titled "Castles Made of Sand" by artist Peter Rashford was awarded the Mary Garrison Memorial Award in the 21st Annual Essential Art Regional Juried Art Show at the Cooperstown Art Association Gallery, 22 Main St., Cooperstown, NY.

Peter Rashford's watercolor “Autumn Twilight” was awarded one of five Artistic Merit awards in the Utica Art Association 2011 Fall Exhibition at the Cogar Gallery, Herkimer County Community College, Herkimer, N.Y.

2011 New York State Fair in Syracuse, NY. Peter's charcoal drawing titled "Wise Likeness" was awarded Third Place in Fine Arts Division A - Professional Class / Graphics

2010 New York State Fair in Syracuse, NY. The art jury awarded 3rd Place to Peter's "Castles Made of Sand" in the Division A - Professional Class / Graphics category. “Moment of Seclusion” was awarded Honorable Mention in Fine Arts Division C - Professional Wildlife Art Class / Paintings.

Peter Rashford was awarded first place for a charcoal drawing titled "Wise Likeness" in the August 2010 Art Show at the Dodge Pratt Northam Art and Community Center, 106 Schuyler St., Boonville, NY.

Utica Public Library announced the winners of their “Express Yourself Art Contest: 2010” during a Reception held on Feb. 23, 2010. The top five works of art out of sixty entries were selected by a panel of judges. Each year the art contest has a different theme. This year's theme was all Black and White Art produced in pencil, pen, or ink. First Place was awarded to Peter Rashford for the pen & ink drawing “Castles Made of Sand.”
