Consulting Alliance Announces Two Winners of 20th Anniversary "Roadmap to Results" Regional Competition |

The Consulting Alliance announced two winners of its “Roadmap to Results” regional competition at a celebration of the organization’s 20th anniversary held on November 28, 2012 at the Italian American Community Center in Albany. The winners are:
· B.E.S.S. Technologies
· Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless
Each organization will receive a limited consulting engagement that will result in a customized roadmap to help each organization reach its desired goals. The two competition awards are valued at $48,000.
Each complimentary engagement includes a formal review and assessment of the organization’s business challenges and opportunities and a briefing session with the senior management team. The process culminates in a meeting during which a set of strategic recommendations will be presented showing how the organization can achieve its objectives. The “Roadmap to Results” project will be delivered by a team of seasoned, professional consultants hand-picked from Consulting Alliance members to match each winning company’s specific needs.
“The Consulting Alliance offered this competition as part of its 20th anniversary celebration and with the goals of strengthening the community and contributing to the success of the region,” says Consulting Alliance President Nancy Schultz of Nancy Schultz Consulting.
About the Winners:
B.E.S.S. (Battery Energy Storage Systems) Technologies is a component design and engineering firm started by a group of College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) of the University at Albany graduate students in 2010. Working at CNSE’s Albany NanoTech Complex, B.E.S.S. developed an innovative process to build nanostructures, which offer significantly increased energy storage capacity, faster charging rates and a longer lifetime for lithium-ion batteries.
Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless (IPH) is located in Albany, New York, and has served the homeless community since 1984. IPH offers programs and services including a 30-bed emergency shelter, Drop-In Center, housing program and summer youth program. IPH helps individuals and families by meeting their immediate needs, providing case management services to address individual factors of homelessness so they are able to find safe, affordable housing and utilizing support through long term case management services to maintain housing and continue to build a stable lifestyle.
