Epoch 5 President Katherine Heaviside To Moderate Panel “Expert Tips for Great Media Coverage” February 28

Katherine Heaviside, president and founder of Epoch 5 Public Relations, recognized as a top regional PR firm, will moderate a panel of media professionals giving advice on securing coverage. The Hauppauge Industrial Association (HIA) Executive Breakfast will be held from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Thursday February 28 in the auditorium of Newsday, 235 Pinelawn Road, Melville, NY.

The panelists, who will discuss elements of what makes a great story and how to pitch it, include Newsday Assistant Managing Editor for Business, Robert McGough; Long Island Business News Editor and Publisher John Kominicki; Morey Publishing President Jed Morey; WCBS Radio Reporter Sophia Hall; and PATCH.com Regional Editor Gregory Sleter. Newsday Managing Editor Rich Rosen will provide opening remarks.

Advance registration for the HIA “Expert Tips for Great Media Coverage” is $45 for HIA members and $75 for non-members. To register, call Jackie Ridley at 631-543-5355 or email jridley@hia-li.org. Day-of registration and networking begins at 7:30 a.m. on the 28th. The cost for walk-ins is $50 for HIA members and $80 for non-members. A continental breakfast will be served.
