DeBergerac Productions is proud to announce our contribution to the Timeline of Historical Film Colors. Under the direction of Barbara Flueckiger, Professor of Institute of Film Studies, University of Zurich. (http://www.zauberklang.ch/colorsys.php)
While doing a routine search of the latest films on early color technology on YouTube, we stumbled on Barbara’s project which was being independently funded on Indegogo.
She is creating the most comprehensive database of color film technology on the web. For years we felt the restoration community needed such a resource and we reached out to see if we could contribute to the database.
Our work in early Kodachrome (1914-1929) and Kodacolor (1928-1934) (http://debergeracprod.wordpress.com/film-restoration/) proved useful and we helped with some fact checking and provided the database high resolution scans from digital restorations we had done of each process.
As you can see we are in good company and grateful for the opportunity to have been able to contribute to this wonderful online resource.
It also gives us the confidence to see crowdsourcing is alive and well in the film and preservation world and has encouraged us to consider it for our own future projects.
Please visit DeBergerac Productions’ Film Restoration for more information on our restoration process. |
