MEDIA STREAM HONORED WITH ANOTHER CANCER AWARENESS AWARD FOR TV SPOT |

Media Stream, a digital video production company in Albany, New York, received a 2013 Cancer Awareness Award for a TV commercial produced for Saint Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, New York.
The commercial “Don’t Let This Disease Define You” featured Stage 4 Cancer survivor Pat Canizzarro praising the exceptional staff and services found at the hospital's Herb & Sue Ann Redl Cancer Center. The commercial was created from footage produced for the long-form fundraising film “The Power of Hope” that received a Cancer Awareness Award in 2012.
“Media Stream is happy once again to be receiving another Cancer Awareness Award along with Saint Francis Hospital,” said Media Stream President John Heaney. “Being part of the hospital’s ongoing message of hope and service to cancer patients in the Hudson Valley is our ultimate honor.”
Heaney credits Vice President of Development George Prisco and Marketing Director Greg Zurawik for their joint effort in creating the commercial. “It's always a good idea to combine fundraising with a hospital's marketing message. The public doesn't always get to see all the great things that happen at places like Saint Francis. Saint Francis saved Pat's life, you can't get a better fundraising or marketing message than that.”

Media Stream has received other awards in healthcare advertising including the Aster Award and the NORI from the Albany Ad Club for TV Commercial and Long-Form Documentary work. John Heaney has also received Best of Long Island Awards from the New York Ad Club along with the Telly, Axiem and the Videographer for productions in New York State.
Cancer Awareness Award entrants are judged by a panel of design and healthcare marketing professionals with decades of combined experience. Entrants are judged on creativity, layout/design, typography, production, quality and overall effectiveness.
