"JACOB and ASTOR" are two silly dogs who never look, and even worse, they never listen.
They're always getting into trouble. But they don't mind because they always have lots of fun. Of course, everyone else seems to get really mad at them. They upset cows, cats, mules, chickens and people. Naturally, they think they're being smart,helpful,noble,strong, brave and protective. Sometimes they even get mad at each other-and always with hilarious results.
Steve Haefele has had a long and distinguished career in children's books. He has worked on several Dr. Suess books including "Daisy-Head Mayzie", Magic School Bus, Clifford the Dog and Berenstain Bear books. You may have also seen his work in many national magazines including Field and Stream, Golf Illustrated, Reader's Digest and National Lampoon. He has illustrated Yachting Magazine's popular "Telltales" column for the past 18 years.
This is Steve's third collaboration with author Leslie McGuire. They previously created "Mad Dog" and "Mad Dog in the Big City" for Hooked on Phonics. |
