Job Description
Agency executives: Where will you find the next generation of marcom professionals? Your agency can help young people learn about the industry by sponsoring an Explorer Post. The Exploring program helps male and female youths between the ages of 14 and 20 years old learn about careers in which they have an interest, and the Seneca Waterways Council intends to create an Explorer Post focused on marketing. We seek a local marketing agency that is willing to sponsor educational meetings to help young people better understand the career fields in your organization. Seneca Waterways Council BSA serves thousands of youth in the Rochester/Finger Lakes five-county (Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne and Yates) area.
Requirements
Be able to teach youth about different marketing careers and get them excited about the possibility of marketing careers. We are looking for one or more marketing agencies that are willing to take the lead in conducting several educational meetings a year for interested youth. The role can be shared among different agency personnel. We are happy to provide further detail to interested agencies.
Experience
Be able to speak to different marketing disciplines and roles between the agency team members who participate in the program.
Qualifications
Working marketing professionals who enjoy teaching and mentoring youth. Preferably, the sponsoring marketing agency can help the youth explore various marketing disciplines and careers.
